“I lost a lot of weight really fast when I started eating raw and living food. I have been doing strength training along with my exercise routine. I have lost muscle tissue as well. It’s taking longer to rebuild these muscles. Does anyone have any idea of how to correct this?”

We do.

I was you. When I went from a vegan diet to a raw, living food diet, I was a committed non-exerciser. As a matter of fact, I thought exercise was something that jocks did.

Exercise wasn’t for people like me. I dropped down to 119 pounds. I was a very thin guy.

It was very difficult for me to convince my parents that I wasn’t a little crazy. I didn’t look healthy. I told them I was living a healthy life.

This is one of the common things people who are not looking at this in a large way have happen with the living food diet. Let’s look at the protein-rich foods again.

Sprouts are hands down the easiest, most available and least expensive sources of protein. I’ll give you a short list but it goes on and on.

Mung bean sprouts and Chinese bean sprouts are complete proteins. Flax and hemp seed and their sprouts, sunflower green sprouts, pea green sprouts and sunflower seed sprouts are all complete proteins. This list goes on.

That is where you get protein. It’s completely available when you sprout them. It is broken down from a complex protein to amino acids that are readily utilized by the human cell. Number two, you don’t need copious amounts of protein. You need normal amounts of protein.

Then you have to start the weight training systematically and rationally. You can’t go in and try to be macho and lift heavy weights.

If you do, you’ll rip your muscle. You’ll be in pain and never want to do it again. You’ll end up a skinny, little invalid for the rest of your life.

You need to get a trainer if possible. If you can’t afford or find a trainer, you can find books. There are many books on the internet.

Go with very light weights first. Work on your form. Focus on control and form.

Once you gain control and form, you’ll slowly but surely start to increase the weights. People who are very thin like me will need to also use foods that slow down your metabolism.

There are two basic metabolisms, fast and slow ones. The general rule is as people age, their metabolism slows down. It doesn’t happen to everyone.

When you’re young, you have a fast metabolism. Even in youth there are people with very fast metabolisms and fast metabolisms. There are different levels of fast.

What slows metabolism down is sprouted, germinated grains and grain preparation, bean and bean preparation, sprouted nuts and their preparation and sprouted seeds and their preparation.

These more dense foods require more time to maintain in the digestive and elimination canal. In that slow process of breaking down, they use more energy and move your body’s metabolism slower. This is a way to build up.

Once you maintain this for a period of time and gain a specific level of muscle you’re comfortable with, then you can stop.

At times I train people who want to gain large bulk. They may be competitive muscle builders. In that case they need to take copious amounts of vegetarian protein.

We make a Protein Powder that has cranberry seed powder. It’s a complete protein. It goes to the brain and helps that also. You’re not a brain-dead body builder.

You’re an intelligent body builder. It also has black raspberry and hemp seed powder. Many of the intelligent body builders today use hemp seed powder. They are organic and available globally.

There is flax seed powder. Flax seed powder also has all of the essential fatty acids. They feed every cell including brain cells. It has complete protein for every one of your cells.

I did a little experiment on myself. I don’t normally take these powders. Last June for 30 days I took five to seven tablespoons and mixed them with water or juice. I gained approximately half an inch in muscle development.

I wasn’t comfortable with drinking that amount of protein every day. I never would, but If I went into competition to have larger muscles and they measured them, I would. These sources of protein are safe, healthy and may vigorously help you on many levels. They are not just for muscle building.

I think the product you are refering to is Phys-Neur ? Did you take 5 to 7 tablespoons after a training session, before, throughout the day ? I never considered this product as a body building protein powder. Who wrote this info. and can I have more specifics on how to use this product for this purpose, or if there is something better I can use to bulk up so the effort of exercise is not just wasted effort.

Thanks,

Antonio.

Where do you recommend I go to find a trainer who is familiar with the Hippocrates program?

I want to gain weight using living foods. I am thin right now and my jobs keep me phyically active. I think my metabolism is very fast still and I am 50 years young. Thank you for your info. I would like to learn more and have some friends so we could encourage each other.

I went from being 135 pounds, to 150 when I went to a predominantly living foods diet over a decade ago.. there are several way to gain and maintain healthy muscle mass on living foods.. like metioned above sunflower sprouts, flax seed and above all hemp seed are excellent sources of protein... in addition I would recommend Maca root powder and some sort of algae, either spirulina, chlorella , or E3live.. of the three E3live is the highest in protein content with the highest absorption rate...

Another cheap, healthy form of protein is grass juice (wheat, rye, spelt etc...), super easy to grow your own....I will try and get a short video clip of a recent talk I gave on growing your own grasses.. Good luck, check out my blog for further info!!!

If I can be of any further help to anyone let me know.. check out the blog,
